Hi,
I am going to Fethiye in the middle of october.
As i am predominantly eating fresh fruits i was wondering what kind of fresh fruit is available in Fethiye during the october month?
Still fresh figs? Melons of any kind?
Is there a fig plantage nearwhere?
Can somebody recommend a good place to shop for fresh fruits?

I think lots of fruits.. orange, banana, apple etc. melon. you can buy best fruits from tuesday and friday market where is at city center. everybody knows there and plantage is in kayakoy.

Calis market is on sunday. It has great freash fruit and veg stalls.

If you can't get to one of the street markets (in Fethiye on Tuesdays and Fridays, Çalış on Sundays, Hisarönü on Mondays and between Taşyaka/Patlangıç (off the main road coming down from Hisarönü into Fethiye) ... the covered market on the left hand side off the main street through Fethiye (also known as the fish market) has excellent greengrocers.
With regards to smoothies and pressed fruit juices ... I think Cafe Oley in the old town (on the side street behind Neptune Leather Centre opposite the tea houses on the marina) does smoothies ... and you can get fresh OJ in some restaurants. And the BEST pressed fruit juice is at the stand behind the post office/Fethiye Cultural Centre - the guy there does mixed fruit juices - lots of pomegranate, grapefruit and lemon as well as OJ. A veritable feast of antioxidants!

I am back home from Fethiye
It was nice to be there.
Juice guy was still there. He is a nice guy and makes great juices
But i also found 3 places in Calis where they make fresh juices, very refreshing.
Markets are really fantastic in Calis and Fethiye.
Figs and melons were still great, but i was much surprised about turkish bananas. They taste better than the cavendish variety sold in Europe.
