OK, I asked for it so I'll start the ball rolling . . I have been going to Turkey for years now and for the last few I have been to Hisaronu. I now have 'family' there and one day hope to move to Turkey. Any one else on this forum familiar with Hisaronu? H |

I am ![]() Thought it was just me for a while as well! I'm familiar with both Fethiye and Hisaronu, and used to practically live at the Rovers Return. Where are your favourite bars/restaurants/hotels? |

Hi, Yes, we bought an apartment last year and Hisaronu is our second home - just waiting for the day we can spend more time there! We've been visiting a couple of times a year since 1999 so have noticed a few changes. Favourite restaurants? - they change from year to year as chefs and buildings come and go! Our favourite this year is Levissi Garden at Kaya Koy - wonderful! |

Hi Val ![]() I like the Levissi Garden restaurant too, and I loved Bella Mamas, which I think has moved to Calis now. On my list of bars to visit next year are Fez, Hustlers, Aloha, Boat Bar, Time Out and Big Break. Reviews please, anyone? |

Mama Mia's is now situated where Bella Mamma's used to be in Hisaronu. We only went there once this summer, but it seemed to be excellent and very popular. I'm back out for the last week of the season so I'll test some of those bars for you - dont you notice though they they change throughout the season - the best time I had at Time Out was the last week of the season - everyone went there! |

We have too just bought a place in Ovacik, having been visiting Hisaronu since 1991. We visited the Levissi two weeks ago, absolutely beautiful. Stunning setting, if not somewhat eerie! We missed the dusk period, when apparantly the mist settles over the ghost village. I imagine that must be beautiful. Cant wait to go back out next May. I believe there is a restaurant called the Istanbul in Kaya? Anyone heard of this? cheers |

Hope the weather's good for you! I've been in Fethiye in October/November before and it's been T-shirt weather, other times it did nothing but rain. The good days outnumbered the bad, though

Thanks all - we dont travel until Sunday evening so the weather has time to pick up! We've bought an apartment at Nicholas Gate in Hisaronu. The friends we holidayed with in the summer bought at Brooklands 2, so we are going out to do the furnishing trip! Good fun because you can actually afford what you want - unlike UK where you have what you can afford! |

Hey there T ![]() I stay in mainly in Hisaronu, usually at the Bozbey hotel. Can't afford a place over there - yet! I'm working on it ![]() Thanks for the restaurant tip, I'll check it out when I'm over. Weather in December in Fethiye was similar to England but warmer and with a bit less rain. I'm going back a fair few years though! |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Hi Val I'm in Fethiye right now (in my office overlooking the harbour) and ... sorry ... it's chilly! There are people still walking around in T shirts ... but the forecast for tonight, Wednesday, was somewhere around the minus 1 mark! So ... even though it's sunny, it's chilly. Snow is descending on parts of the country already (as close as Antalya Saklıkent - not the Gorge Saklıkent) and there is a mighty nippy, pretty strong, north wind today ... come prepared with layers so that you can cover up when you dip out of the sun (which, when you're in it and out of the wind is still nice and hot). |

Thanks - not really what I wanted to hear, but at least we can bring the right cloths and be prepared! Minus 1 tho thats colder than here! I'm planning to cover my bourganvillas against winter frost - just hope I get there in time........!
