Hi Reading through the conversation threads on Hisarönü, it's clear that a lot of people have been coming here for a few years ... so, in the interests of a mini market-survey, let us know your thoughts! For example, what is it about Hisarönü that makes you want to come back? How do you think the village has changed over the last few years? And have those changes been for the better? What would make it even better? We'd really like to hear your views - and stories, so feel free to write away, and we look forward to reading your thoughts (literally, if not metaphorically). Karen |

I have been coming to Hisaronu for the last 2 years. We have now visited 4 times. The reason we come back is that we feel that it is well situated, so we can go to the beach at Olu Deniz and also into Fethiye. The people are friendly and helpful and there is a lot of choice over where to eat and drink. There are also many excursions to take. We feel that there is something for everyone. Most of all where we stay we have the most spectacular scenery and we just love coming back. |

The 1st time we visited Hisaronu was in 1999 - a last minute deal from teletext. We thought we'd hit the jackpot! The following year when we were thinking about a weeks break in the med we started looking at the brochures - we never went anywhere twice ,thought there were too many places in the world to see! As I was looking thro the brochures I thought 'What am I looking for - we cant better what we had last year - wonderful people , stunning scenery, fabulous weather and excellent bars and restaurants!' So we went back - and back, every year ! For a few years we still had other holidays outside Europe, but the addiction to Hisaronu has now taken over completely and we spend every days leave that we have in Hisaronu. What is about Hisaronu that gets into our hearts! I dont know but it does! I know from the people who rent our apartment that their love is the same as ours. I know it suits all ages - my son and his wife plan to introduce their new baby to Hisaronu next year. My single son and his friends plan to return yet again, our friends and friends families are encaptured with just one visit! All in all, I dont think you can sum up what the magic is......it's something for everyone, its the whole thing - but above all I think it just has to be the people! |

Hi Karen We have been going to Hisaronu since 96. Started off with just the two of us (Gary - hubby or as his turkish nickname is Tosun - work that out if you can. At the beginning of 96 we stayed at Calis met a chap called Ruhi and he then dragged us off to Hisaronu when we went back in Sept 96 - met him every year since - we stayed at the Blue Hisar apartments down beside the Dolmus roundabout - and have been there ever since. We have taken ALL of the family plus frieeds there and each and everyone has returned time and tme again - all of the family are out there in 2 weeks time (20 of us) - there is actually four generations of us there - Great grandma down to grandchildren. We have just about been adopted by the family that own the apartments - they cant do enough for you - just about the only thing they do not do is dip you in the pool and dry you off - daresay they would if you asked!!! I think the other good thing about Hisaronu is the fact that the village is pedestrianised each night at 6.00pm so kids have virtually got a free rein and you don't have to worry about traffic. Roll on June 30 Cant wait to retur because I know where we will be moving to and it will not be Benidorm!! |
