I don't actually live in Hisaronu (my husband says I may aswell - I have just come back last week from there and that is my third visit this year and am going back in October. I spoke to my english friend in hisaronu yesterday and she is of the impression that everyone in and around the Fethiye area are quite confident that this are will not be subject to bombs. We take our parents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren when we go out on holiday (yes it is like a charabang trip) and I would most certainly not put them at risk (especially the grandchildren. My philosphy is that these sort of things could happen anywhere in the world - take London for example. Do not let this dampen your enthusiasm - if we had the chance (and we are looking when we go back in October)we would be out there permanently like a shot! good luck to you both

Hi all, my partner (Helena ) and I (Marcus) have just sold a property and were very excited about coming to the Fethiye region to set up a new life in the home building and interiour design sector.
we were due to fly out september 11th 06. But last nights bomb attack's have seriously dented our enthusiasam. How do those of you that live there permanantly feel about the future. I.E. tourism, property sales/prices.
Your opinions would be very welcome.

thanks for your reply.
your opinions are similar to many replys we have had from other fourum sites, so we have decided to continue with our search for properties that need refubs and/or land to build on.
I read your other posting asking wether there would be work for your other half as he is involved in the building industry.

l live in fethiye and work in baghdad so dont worry just ahve a good time cheers
