Hi,do any of you out there know what the hotel telmessos/marcan is like?
what are the local market days in the area.

HI Claire - the rooms at both are fine, if a bit basic but you only sleep there, There is enough cupboard space, the beds are comfortable enough the water for the shower usually hot ....and you can ask for more pillows. What makes them both great are the lovely staff, beutiful pool areas, spectacular views and the brilliant proximity to the High Street. Close enough for convenience but quiet when you want. No tea coffee making facilities so take a travel kettle! Hope you have a great time.

PS Hisaronu Market - Monday. Fethiye Tuesday and if you want to combine market with boat trip, Gocek Sunday

I needed to know about the tea facilities because my other half would not be happy if he could'nt start his day without his cuppa.And we all know who would suffer then.

I agree with him entirely!! We always took a travel kettle when we stayed there !!

The new belediye offices have been built on the are in Hisarönü where the general market used to be - but yu still have the Tuesday Market in fethiye, the famers market on a Friday (Tuesday market site) and the Saturday market just down to the right from the Hisarönü hill traffic lights, as you go down the hill towards Fethiye.

We are going to Hisaronu on the 31 may-8 june.Well we get thre in the early hours of the 1 june. Must say we are really looking forward to our hols. We have rented a car to go exploring,we like to find out of the way places,off the beaten track.

The Monday market is relocating to the football field down by the old council offices in Hisaronu.
The market that Lara Jansen refers to on Saturdays is called Patlangic. There's also a market at Karachula on Saturdays.

Claire, I'm sure you'll love it! There are some lovely places to visit and all the more accessable with a car. June is the best time too - in my opinion!
