Hey, a good friend of mine took me recently to a lovely setting high above Fethiye plains - the top of Tasyaka hill where a nice, affable guy called Murat is a partner in a new hotel - THE SUNDIAL (Has working sun dial in the garden hence the name). I was real surprised I did not know yet of this special place, as me, well I'm usually the 'oracle' on where to go and what's going on around Fethiye, my friends tell me! The hotel offers in the surrounding landscaped gardens, some stone guest houses for rent. If you can motor up the narrow road in the car, then theres a little surprise awaiting for you at the top. The atmosphere is truly very relaxing, a new kosk in the garden is just ready for any early evening chilling and you can relax with a book on the sunloungers by the lovely pool, or dip into the jacuzzi on the top. The views across Fethiye bay and beyond are stunning. They have a restaurant/bar with some daily menu so have thought of all the little touches, and the designer toilets were immaculate when I visited. Well done guys! You can even book tours and transfers via the staff, as they will give you a very pleasant stay. Its a great escape from the urban, city life of Fethiye and its busy roads below and because of its pretty close location to inner city you can pop up in your lunch time for some chilling. Or what a nice place to bring your business clients for a quiet lunch. Check out the guest houses as well for a lovely holiday with a difference. So.. at the T junction of the next traffic lights before the large incline up to Tasyaka, dont turn right for Ovacik, or left towards the Antalya Road but drive straight across and you can just make out a narrow track opposite which will lead you gradually higher up the hill past some turkish homes and a little community. At the top alight in the purpose-made car park and walk the remainder of a short path through the shrubs up to the main reception and bar. (They're not signposted yet so look well or ask a local if your turkish is up to it!) Enjoy your day. |

Hi Cosycarol. A little info on the "Sundial" please. Is the location somewhere along the Baha Şikman Caddesi?. Any idea of the fiyat için altı hafta (This would be for one person) and have you a phone number for them.how How long would you think to walk from hotel to say the büyük Camii in Fethiye. Thanks John |
