i really enjoyed my time here at Oludeniz Resort Hotel, The turkish people are really friendly. especially the staff at the hotel! One thing i might add to the hotel is that around the pool it gets really slippy and people have fallen over and hurt themselves and the floor isnt heat proof!
I came on holiday with my paretns and twin brother, and we all loved it! especially the entertainment at night! I would definatly try and come back to this hotal in the near future!

I travelled to Olu Deniz with my husband and seven year old son for the October half term break. This was our first trip to Turkey.
We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of accomodation and food at this all inclusive hotel. Some people have complained about the lay out of the hotel and the dark rooms. We found the village style lay out to be pleasant, with rooms laid out in small accomodation blocks. Although this meant quite a long walk to our room, who cares, we were on holiday, and the big advantage was that there were no long corridors which appear to encourage loud groups to run up and down at all hours which we have encountered in other hotels. Every night was peacefull! It was like having our own little cottage!

The food was of a good standard, if somewhat repetative, however you would have to be very picky not to find something you liked. My son especially enjoyed the made to order pancakes at breakfast.

In October, the pool size was not a problem, however I would imagine in high season it could get a liitle crowded but there is also a beautiful beach. Entertainment staff organized darts and water polo matches to keep everyone entertained, but it was at set times of the day, and so allowed everyone else to relax for most of the time. We also had the bonus of the Olu Deniz air show for some amazing entertainment without leaving our sun loungers! The evening entertainment was a little amateurish, but fun non the less.

We did a day trip to Dalyan and the mud baths which was fun. It was interesting to note that the younger children (my son included) did not enjoy covering themselves with mud, and appeared to think their parents were quite mad!

Staff in the hotel were pleasant, efficient and curteous at all times.

All in all we had a super time, and gained a very positive impression of Olu Deniz and Turkey in general. I would definately return to this hotel, especially when the new pool is built.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week at the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel. We had a great week and as we used the previous reviews to help us choose our holiday we thought it only right to give our opinion to help others. We booked our holiday 2 weeks before departure and got a fantastic deal with Portland (who now come under Thomson). Olu Deniz itself is stunning. We went to the lagoon one day (cost £1 each) and it was both beautiful and peaceful.

In order to escape from all the kids and sardine packed sunbeds round the pool we went to the beach most days (we were never up early enough to reserve a bed at the 'quiet pool'). I would say this hotel is geared towards families and I was surprised at how many kids were there outside of school holidays. Saying that they were all really well behaved and watching some of the tots up on the stage doing the dance routine to the hotels 'anthem' ('Give Me Hope Joanna' in Turkish) put a smile on our faces. The evening entertainment was ok but what was occasionally lacking in talent was definitely made up in enthusiasm. The animation team work really hard for long hours. All the staff in the hotel and all the people we spoke to in Olu Deniz were really lovely and every 'thank you' was met with a 'you're welcome'. We were really impressed with the quality and quantity of food, especially the made to order pancakes and traditional turkish pizzas. Delicious.

Our room (a twin) was a good size and although it could have done with being updated it was spotless. The hotel grounds are stunning with some gorgeous plants and flowers with gardeners tending to these every day. My boyfriend did have a tummy bug the last couple of days but a trip to the very friendly pharamcist helped clear this up quickly. We both decided to try paragliding and what a fantastic experience (although I would say the drive up to the top of the mountain is not for the faint hearted). In all Olu Deniz is a gorgeous place to visit and we were really impressed with the hotel. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I just got back from staying at this hotel. I did a lot of research on getting a high star rating hotel with good location and I think from what I saw while in Oludeniz it is one of the best there. However, I must say that this hotel is not for young adults (20's and 30's). The hotel was more for families with small children and an older guests (like senior citizens). I went with my husband and we are in our mid twenties and it was definitely NOT a couples place. I had chosen this hotel b/c I thought it was the least "family" type hotel of those in Oludeniz but I was wrong.

The hotel concierge can BARELY speak english and couldn't help me with anything. When I arrived, I asked them what there is to do in Oludeniz and at the hotel, and I couldn't believe that they could not tell me one thing. Luckily I had done a lot of research on what to see/do b/c otherwise I wouldn't have a clue on what to do there.

The hotel rooms are okay (old cheezy furniture) and the air conditioning turns off automatically when you leave the room so when you return it is literally a sauna-unbearable!

The nightly entertainment was horrible and actually a bit inappropriate for children at times. They used bad language, and had adult topics/content. I think they might mention that its for adults but 60% of the audience are children! If I had kids I probably wouldn't take them there.

On a lighter note, the water pressure in the shower is great. The food was great and was all included. Try to make the buffet lunch, its better than the cafe lunch. Timing is very important at this hotel or else you'll miss meals.

The tour "12 island" tour that everyone tries to sell you along the main streets actually isnt bad. All 12 islands look identical though and there are barely any fish to see (we bought snorkel gear there which I still think was a good idea) but it's stil a nice day out with nice views. We paid 16 GBP for per person including lunch at VIP one with our tour operator. All the companies have the same exact tour (you see the other tour boats while at the islands) with different pricing so negotiate!

Take shoes for the beaches in Oludeniz-its all pebbles!!! Also take insect repellant and itching cream-I got bit like 15 times and so did everyone else.

Stayed here from 31st. May to 8th. June.........weather great.... re ;90degs. + every day. Area is stunning, hard to find better. Hotel beautiful, great selection of food, and plenty of it. A/I excellent. Really child friendly, animation team brilliant, kept kids amused til late. Our first time in Turkey and would definitely go again. Only downside BE WARNED! take your own drinks to airport when leaving as they were charging £3.50 per cup of coffeee and £7.00 for a beer!!!! Needles to say, we didn't see anyone on our flight group pay those prices----absolute rip-off!Overall though, well worth a visit.
