Just got back from a week at the Karbel Hotel (7-14 June) and we thought it was a very good hotel, we stayed in one of the blocks near to the smaller swimming pool, room was very clean. Breakfast at the hotel was good with usual selection of cheeses, meats, cornflakes, boiled eggs, breads, jams etc. Staff very friendly and nice.
We got the dolmus to Hisonaru and walked to Kaya Koy which was a nice walk before it got too hot! Went to Fethiye market also on the dolmus which was an experience, never seen a market so big anywhere.
There were so many restaurants at night to choose from we picked a different one each night and they were all excellent (ate from the Turkish menu every night), they were:
Sun Cafe - beach front
Blue Star - back road from beach
Sultan Hamet - main street
Captain Hooks - main street
Sea Horse - beach front
Olu Deniz Turk Loraktesi - road where dolmus go
The Olive Grove - road where dolmus go
Loved chilling out on the bean bags at the bars on the beach late afternoon.
First time to Turkey but it won't be the last.

Excellent as always. Very clean. Lovely views from the balcony. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Two pools and amazing a la carte food.

My husband and me a retired couple. had a wonderful time hotel
was very clean grounds lovely staff very helpful and friendly barbecue on wednesday out side. restaurant very clean food ok but Beware non smokers there is ( SMOKING IN THE RESTAURANT)
while you are eating with smoke going in your face . we complaind but they was not interested so we had to keep moving
tables there is entertainment every night except Mondays .There is breathtaking views in the blue logoon lots of paragliding on the beach people are lovely i recommend this hotel for any age places to go on the bus

FANTASTIC!
We have just returned from the Karbel in Olu Deniz and we highly recommend this hotel to all. We took our two grandaughters Lauren 13 and Katie 6 and they had the time of their lives - made so many friends we hardly saw them. They want to come back again next year.
The staff at the hotel are great nothing is too much trouble and they are not pushy just friendly. The rooms are small but very clean and the gardens are beautiful. we come to Olu Deniz every year but this is the first time at the Karbel but will definately be back.
Olu Deniz is a beautiful relaxing place to visit you can also go to Hisaronu or Fethiye on the dolmus so you have plenty of choice for the days or evenings.
If you visit the old city of Fethiye in the evening we can recommend the 'Desti Kebab' at ZEKI's Restaurant by the old turkish bath it is fantastic. Also a good cup of English tea can be had at 'Umut Coffee Shop' in Hisaronu super cakes - too both these are well worth a visit.
We are going back to Olu Deniz in September and cannot wait..
Don't forget to visit the Lagoon it is beautiful and well worth a visit.

We stayed at the Karbel in June/July and had a brilliant time.
We have three sons aged 14, 12, and 8 and they loved every minute of it and made some fantastic friends.
The staff were first class from start to finish and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean and had beautiful views, fantastic food and facilities. There is entertainment 6 days a week with Monday as their day off and happy hour every night, occasionally water polo in the afternoon which my husband and boys really enjoyed, watch out for Zekki "bar manager" and Yusuf "customer relations" who cheat and dunk you during the game!!!!
There are 2 pools one being very quiet and one for familys with music playing from the bar but it was never too loud or too much.
To be honest it was our first time to Turkey and we didnt know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised as the hotel and resort really was beautifull and gave us a holiday to remember.
We are going back next year and cant wait, we all met fanastic friends in a fantastic hotel and hold dear memories.
Dont doubt it just do it - you wont be disapointed !!!!
