Having read reviews, I was expecting Hisaronu to be loud and garish appealing to a boozy sunburnt English crowd of lagerlouts. I couldn't
have been more wrong. Hisaronu admittedly has its fair share of bars offering karaoke, poorly made cocktails and the general feel that once you have seen one restaurants' menu, you have seen them all. However Hisaronu is a brilliant place for families, couples and older
people and I was surprised at a) how mixed the crowd was and b) how many people had holidayed there before and were visiting on their thrid or fourth trip.
The St Nicholas Park hotel is one of several of the st nicholas group
and we really enjoyed our self catering stay. the fact that most peoople there had been before said it all.
Dont expect too much from the hotel's evening entertainment and the private beach of theirs is a bit swampy and they charge you for the sunloungers which is ridiculous.
Hotel itself was excellent, clean and pool lovely. staff were excellent and welcoming from start to finish.
food is cheap in the area and we really enjoyed restaurant marina mariner? next to the mosque along hisaronu main strip. excellent fish here.
